Down Memory Lane

I hear ya, and almost every year I'd be on board with the worrying, but this year I'm not. We may well indeed lay an egg in there somewhere, but I fully expect us to win every single one of those games, and most by a comfortable margin. Aside from the slack ending with ND, you have to go all the way back to Dec 4th to find a game that really wasn't a blowout; that game came against Auburn and it wasn't a squeaker.

This team is shaping up to be very special and has done an admirable job stepping up in Maliq's absence. I'm pretty hopeful that we'll have him back for at least a couple of those you listed.
I lile your confidence and think Duke has one of it's best teams. However, against Wake at Wake, I'm more concerned about the way the game is officiated. More than one time, Duke has been on the receiving end of the most fouls being called. The Wake fans can get pretty loud when Duke comes to town. I hope we get off to a fantastic start and take those idiot fans out of the game.

GoDuke!

Memory is a tricky thing.

I vividly remember being there, while sitting on a sofa.
I loved the view from my seats. (The view of the scoreboard, at least!)

My favorite part of that game was the fact that Game Day was set up outside of Cameron at halftime. They asked Bobby Knight if Carolina could get back in the game, and he just laughed. "No chance."

(Or something like that, beers may have been involved).
I’m not sure if it was that game, or just late that season, but I recall either Vitale or Bilas discussing the Smurfs and musing “Are we really talking about the NIT bubble?” 😂

I was there for 82-50. However, the better one to relish was JJ getting the steal on the last play from McCants and then later saying they knew they were going to call that play to get him the ball so they snuffed it out.
I was there for that one, too. From where I was sitting in the student section, it was the loudest I personally ever heard Cameron get (Duke has had many other moments that I'm sure were up there in decibels). Amazing end to the game!

The halftime show was amazing (and missed by all of you lucky ducks who were in attendance). One of the analysts, maybe Digger Phelps, pulls out his note sheet with talking points for the game and rips it in half since everything they had prepared just went out the window.

To all ya'll wishing for another 82-50 beat down, I say "NONSENSE! Not gonna happen!"

I think you are all short-sighted buffoons! Buffoons, I say! There is actually a non-zero chance this year in Cameron may end up as 95-5

Oh ye of little faith! 😜

I was there (second row) for that one too! Crazy loud.

I think the Dockery game winner has it beat from a loud perspective in my four years (looks like you were gone from Duke by then)....At least, that's what I've been told but I angrily missed that one as I was studying abroad that first semester....But that Carolina victory was an intense one from start to finish and the crowd was lit.

Folks may forget that the halftime score was 53-26. Carolina was actually super competitive in the second half as we only outscored them 29-24.
