ACC Football: Week 2

At first glance, Cal looks like a team that could pull off some nice upsets, but will probably lose a good number of games because they shoot themselves in the foot.
Your assessment is uncannily accurate. My wife, a Cal grad and Cal football fan, says this is pretty much right every year.
 
Tennessee just seems way more dangerous than State- I will be surprised if State wins or really even comes very close
 
I can't imagine Texas Tech is going into a legal battle with Warner Bros.-Discovery over it. However, WBD's stock is so far in the tank they won't be able to raise funds on the capital markets to put up much of a defense.

There are a LOT of great quotes in that article. But the one that leaped out at me was the one referring to the period where SMU was bad at football, and wasn't committed to the program:
"The average student SAT score went down a hundred points. That's how much a draw major college athletics are at a school, especially in Texas."
