2024 FB Bowl Watch

Are we going to apologize for declining their invite when we were too high and mighty for them in the ‘60s? I’m pretty sure it was the Gator we declined?
Players voted "no." How quaint were the ancient practices! Coach Murray had put the team through hell before the Cotton Bowl two years earlier, after the team lost 7-6 against UNC and failed to put up an effort in losing to a mediocre UCLA the last game of the season.

So — the whole roster chose to opt out! We were way ahead of the times. ;-)

I’m counting on NO “opt outs” for Duke for our bowl game. Opting out is a load of horse manure.
Did you play during the season? Are you physically able to play? Then play the darn bowl game!

you might end up disappointed......(altho I think that's more of an issue for Ole Miss)

I'm curious how GT ended up in Birmingham and Pitt is going to Detroit. I would have expected GT to get a better slot.
I'm guessing the Detroit game pays better than the Gasparilla.

Having been to both — Detroit is in a professional stadium but both were pretty low. Ford Field did not even fill the lower bowl IIRC.

Fun. But low.

Not sure who pays more.
