2024-25 Ratings Thread

Yes, thank you awhom.

There has been so much buzz on the forums about people losing their love for college sports in the NIL/Transfer Portal era. I'll be curious to see how the playoff ratings are. I think that the ratings will be huge, which will keep this snowball rolling down the hill and growing.

I was wondering how these ratings compared to other bowl games, and it turns out, pretty well. The playoff games had much higher ratings, but the Gator Bowl was among the best of the rest. Sports Media Watch has a college football ratings page in reverse chronological order. Here's a selective look at the bowl games with the biggest audiences, and also the ones with an ACC team.

I can't find the TV audience figure for the Sun Bowl, in which Louisville beat Washington on the afternoon of New Year's Eve on CBS. All I can find is 7.6 ratings share, which would only help me if I knew how many total viewers were watching any TV at that time.

First week of fake golf had a Duke Basketball lead in. So golf ratings were so so.
Fake golf, with Tiger playing, was a disaster for Duke game ratings. Even with the late time slot.

Without a Duke bump, how were the fake golf ratings for Tuesday (1/21)
Hopefully awhom can help me.
Thanks

Fake golf and 3v3 basketball are apparently big ratings touchpoints these days.

1/7: Duke 751,000 and golf 919,000
1/14: Golf 1,005,000 and Duke 587,000
1/21: Golf 682,000 and Wake Forest 551,000

Sad commentary on diminishing popularity of ACC basketball. The fake golf is horrible.
