Yup. It's heartbreaking to lose on penalty kicks, but taking the undefeated number one seed to penalty kicks is still a notable accomplishment. Bravo.

A pretty good season for the Women's soccer team and taking FSU to PK's was amazing.
A good friend of mine has a daughter that's a freshman on the Women's soccer team. She plays defense, played most of the FSU game. It's been fun watching her grow up all these years (I have a daughter the same age). Her Dad has season tix to mens hoops and more than half the games I've been too in CIS have been thanks to him.
FSU faced unseeded Virginia in the semifinals and the two teams went scoreless in regulation and two overtime periods. FSU won on penalty kicks, 3-0, for their second straight PK win. As with Duke, the Seminoles never missed a single penalty kick, winning the best-of-5 in three rounds.
In the other semifinal, 11th-seeded Santa Clara upset 2nd-seeded North Carolina 3-1 to advance to the final, which is today at 5:30 EST. GTHC!
Santa Clara just tied it up 1-1 vs Florida State in the Championship game. 6:00 to go. ESPN2.
Still 1-1 after both overtimes.
The championship game went to penalty kicks and FSU's luck ran out... Santa Clara wins 4-1 in PK's.
Live by the PK... die by the PK.
