Cheap and foolish. Just like those uniforms.
this has to be the flop of the century. If it had been Allen, ESPN would have stopped the game to talk about it. I can't believe the refs bought it.

Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'
Its worth noting that not only did Pinson crumple to the floor - he also continued to lay on the floor acting injured as the game continued. Play was eventually stopped to check on Pinson. There was no contact. Unfortunately, the officials did not see the clear space between Pinson's head and the MSU player's elbow on the small replay monitors that they use. They should have, however, noticed that Pinson's head did not move at all as the elbow went past, and that he only snapped back after the player was well clear of him.
There are a couple of opposing fans that have visited this board on numerous occasions feeling the need to share their feelings that Allen (or Tyus Jones, etc, etc) exaggerate contact to sale calls, and that they find it unsportsman-like. Curiously, they haven't felt as compelled to comment on the actions of Pinson who not only faked a foul on no contact, but faked injury resulting in a flagrant foul for the MSU player and an 8-0 unc run that put them back in the game.
Brutal. But nothing compares to PJ’s flop against the Spurs...

But, sure, go and claim the high ground, Cheaters. Since that’s what cheaters do.

Look, perhaps we're being too harsh. Maybe we should be glad that they're teaching them SOMETHING over there.
The camera angle on the video in the above link makes it hard to see. During the game they showed a different camera angle where there is clearly a gap between the MSU player’s elbow and Pinson’s face. Also right after the play they showed closeups of Pinson on the bench and his face looked 100% fine.
Pinson has a reputation as a solid defender and will get the benefit of calls. I’m wondering why he would waste this Emmy-winning performance in a game in which they were getting blown out and had little chance of winning. Why not save it for a situation that matters?
