Can't help but crow just a bit, seeing the previous comments about purple ... but then had to eat a bit of that crow when I stumbled on blue. But re purple: there was one word I spotted right off the top that gave me the clue to look for the three other matches; if not for that, I'd have been clueless as well.

Like @75Crazie, I got purple first, because one of the words stuck out like a sore thumb. There's really nothing else you can do with it. It's solvable without the specific context, because I didn't know the specific context either. I was just thinking about it generally.

The other half of that equation is that I'm generally quite terrible at letter-based word puzzles.

Interesting. I agree one of the words stuck out, and from there I did generally get to three of them. The fourth word I couldn’t place though.

I also went down a track with the sticky word because I thought I could get to three via a separate route.
