I found what I think is a bug in Strands today. Due to the letter arrangements, I found one of the words early on, but in a different grouping in the puzzle. I submitted it and it went in as a Hint candidate. Slogging on, I got all the way to the last word and found it was the same word but in a different area; since I had already "found" the word, it doesn't let me submit it and complete the puzzle. If that is a design point, I think it is needlessly restrictive. I am going to try to report it.

Edit: Actually, I'm not. Upon study, I see that the word I found and submitted creates an orphan of three letters in a corner, so it is not a reasonable word to submit. I guess I need to be careful when noodling around at the start of a puzzle.

That's got to be a pretty unusual situation. I've seen a couple puzzles where the same word can be found in a couple different ways, but in the puzzle, that word has always been part of a multi-word spangram. Only the correct solution gets you to the second word. It always seemed to me that they were pretty careful about that.
