Welcome to Duke, Cameron and Cayden Boozer!!

Sesame Street's The Count says, "1 Boozer...2 Boozers...3 Boozers...you can never have too many Boozers, huh-huh-huh."🧛‍♂️ This is a mighty fine way to start the weekend. Welcome aboard, guys...really looking forward to seeing you take the court!

Great News.

I'm convinced the twins were always going to come to Duke. It just took a while for them to negotiate a height exemption for Cayden. ;)

Awesome how the twins featured their big brother, Carmani, in the announcement video. It is worth remembering that Carmani was very sick with Sickle Cell Anemia and Cameron and Cayden's conception and birth were central to saving his life. These 3 are bound together in so many important ways:

Billy Dat, Thank you so much for sharing this. wow. My heart is raw from thinking of what CeCe and Carlos have been through, and how they have handled it. I have new appreciation for the challenges of those dealing with Sickle Cell Anemia. I certainly understand now why Carmani is featured in the Boozer twins' announcement. We are welcoming more than just two great basketball players.

I'm writing this from Duke's Blood Cancer Treatment, for my monthly IVIG. I am beyond grateful to have been declared cancer free several years ago. I just have to get immune system boosters. Many of the patients around me are not so fortunate -- they are dealing with active cases, and with pain. Every time I come here, I am reminded again of the preciousness of each day and of good health. My friends, let's not waste our days by majoring in the minors, by negative emotions, by senseless divisions. I'm not preaching, I am hoping and wishing, and being very grateful.

Go Duke!

Obviously a great get but, in my mind, not a huge surprise. I'd pick Duke over Miami or Florida every day of the week, for basketball and other reasons (plus, you have the father's connection). As I've said before, the rich get richer. I wonder what sort of NIL package the brothers will get?

If one of them wanted to wear number 4, I can’t imagine JJ saying no.
I believe their numbers should be available next year. Cayden wears #2 and Cameron wears #12. Cooper Flagg is wearing #2 this year, so it will be available next year. No one has the #12 jersey number this season that Cameron prefers.

Random question that will probably make me sound like a complete moron - are they identical twins or fraternal? The several inch difference in height makes me think they are fraternal, but their faces look so alike that I would otherwise think they are identical. And it's unclear how the 20-ish difference in recruiting ranking spots would be affected by genetic similarity. Anybody know?

They have to be fraternal. Identical twins are identical unless some external thing happened. Surgery or growth hormones which one had but that seems unlikely.

They are products of IVF. Two separate fertilized eggs that were screened to not have sickle cell anemia.
