The Big 10 took on an entirely different institution with Oregon. In the track world it is referred to as Lane Community College. Track is its best sport, and while the Nike program is excellent, the school academically doesn’t offer much depth. Oregon has a number of transfers out in the portal. The school doesn’t give students a long term reason to stay. Great effort by Oregon today though.

So it's a sprint, not a marathon?

*Phew*. I’m exhausted. I think the crowd made a difference, and I’d like to think I did my part. I’ll be watching the men just now, then I’ve got another obligation tonight, so I won’t get to the stats until tomorrow. I will say that we really missed Toby. I hope she recovers quickly and we get to see her next weekend.

Here’s hoping that you will be in a great mood for your other obligation.

I was there and did my part! It definitely got tense at times and the inconsistent/ poor officiating did not help. I was able to take a friend of mine who was a classmate at Duke and she hadn't been to Cameron in over 20 years. Toured the Hall of Fame at halftime and she was in heaven. Started the third quarter was amazing and that really was the difference in the game. Oh and Deja Kelly is a punk. The crazies were chanting RJ Davis at her which made me LOL

From Lindsey Gibbs:
In press, Kara is not very forthcoming about Toby’s status going forward. Said she wasn’t feeling well and wasn’t cleared by doctors, and didn’t have an update. When asked to clarify if it was an illness or something else, she declined to elaborate.

It is the location too. Eugene is isolated, and has a homeless problem. They have a lot of challenges. Given the poor attendance at the World Championships a few years back, the IAAF won’t do Eugene again. By the way Oregon has both great sprinters and distance runners (Cole Hocker is the reigning 1500m Olympic champ). But they have a lot of people leave. Note Hocker became world class training in Blacksburg, Va. Not surprising to me.

She can’t reveal any medical information without the students consent. Did the same thing when Toby was out with an obvious concussion
