This Week in the ACC - 2/3-2/9

Clempsum's big, Victor Lahkin, only played 11 minutes due to foul trouble. He fouled out with about 5 minutes to in regulation. Christian Reeves subbed for him for ten minutes and grabbed 7 boards.

Clemson shouldn’t be an overly tough game for us, but Chase Hunter looks like he could really do some damage against us.
Chase Hunter's game reminds me a lot of RJ Davis, with 3-4 inches of added height. Chase is very crafty at using ball screens to get open 3 pointers or get into his midrange game, but he's not overly athletic. Our defense with its length and switching 1-5 should make life really difficult for him on Saturday.

Pardon me for bringing a third "orange" team with discussions about Clemson and Syracuse, but Clemson in general reminds me of Tennessee -- big and physical. Historically, the kind of team that can "knock us back" especially if given a loosely officiated game.

But thanks to Jon's astute scheduling, we've seen Auburn and Kansas already. I'm feeling confident about this trip to Clemson.
With this team and this coach, I fear no team in the country. Let’s win out to a natty.

NC State is either incompetent or incontinent. Maybe both.
Keats is living on borrowed time. He was one lucky bank shot from an early ACCT exit and a pink slip last year. No way he is their coach next year. State is now tied with BC for 16th (second to last) in the ACC.

They shot their wad against us and haven’t been able to hit the ocean since. Doubt they make the ACC tourney, but also doubt they fire Keatts one year out from their 1st championship in 35 years.

Unless something changed, even the lowly Wolfpack (and hurricanes, eagles,…) make the ACC Tourney. ;)

What you meant to say was he lost to Duke and UNC again.

I’m not watching because there are more compelling games on right now. But apparently BC and Syracuse are going to their 3rd OT. CW

In a battle of the first four out, Carolina hangs on to defeat Pitt 67-66. Pitt definitely had opportunities, but made critical mistakes down the stretch.

And they certainly could have called a foul on Cadeau at the end, imo.
