The saga of Daniel Jones thread (latest update: Released by Giants)

I would be eager to see what he could do in Tampa. Baker is not the answer.
I simply cannot fathom the notion that any team would rather have Jones than Mayfield right now.

I actually started Mayfield over Josh Allen on my fantasy team recently. He leads the league in TD passes and is second in yardage. He’s sixth in the league in QB rating — Jones is 28th, and I don’t think that even takes into account his tendency to fumble.

I have him (Mayfield) on about 5 of my fantasy teams. It's going to be interesting to see how he does with his 2 top receivers out. One for the season and the other probably out until week 12. I don't think it's fair to discredit Daniel when he has such a bad OL. He has a great arm, really smart and can run the ball. I'd love to see him on a team with a good OL.

GoDuke!

I was at the game yesterday. Everything said about the offensive line is true. However, on the fumble, Daniel just didn't react to the guy coming in from his left. He doesn't seem to have that sixth sense that QB's have. After this much time in the League, he either has the sense or he doesn't.

What a tough run however to get the TD, then he slammed the ball into the wall, showing that he has a lot of desire to win, which is what his coaches always say about him.

We have our first "those are the plays Daniel Jones needs to make" comment from the TV crew as he sends a ball sailing over the head of a wide-open Nabers.

I'd love to think there's still time for him to figure things out. He has the physical tools. No one doubts his work ethic. But he's 27 now. This is Year 6. And now he's not even running as well as he once did.

Maybe he could have a Sam Darnold-type year somewhere else next year? Seems a bit optimistic, though.

Flea-flicker, two wide-open receivers. Jones hesitates, looks around a bit, and takes the sack.

Stats don't tell the full story of how rough a time Jones is having this season.
