The longest thread ever

The cottage we stay in has a view of TI bridge. So fun watching the ships go under. There’s also a book / log that we have with the flags and ship names that tell country of origin, cargo, how much drugs are likely on board, etc.
Has to be super close to where we were. Might find my wallet about 10 ft deep. Decided to water ski and forgot it was in my wallet. Circa ‘84.

That’s actually where the wallet was lost! We had the same view but the other side of the bridge (east)…that house with the large flag to the left in the first photo is ingrained in my memory. I think someone famous owned it - singer of some sort? Thanks for posting that!

We would head to Canada for fireworks and Dad got good beer, which was hard to find in the US back then.

Awesome pic. Are you on Wellesley Island or the other side - my memory is rusty. I just remember crossing the bridge and going left to TI Park. The second time we went was for a wedding and we stayed at a somewhat dated hotel nearby but not in TI Park.

Dog - check
Ship - check
Beverage - check

Looks like a winner to me!

looks like a black lab, which would merit five stars.

Hah. That’s great! We’re on the south side of the river to the west of the bridge. My wife doesn’t recollect a famous person. Her family friends have owned this place hor 40+ years. She’s asking me if we’d want to take over because the family friends are childless and getting old.

No. We’re on the south side facing Wessley. My wife was convinced that was Canada growing up. She’s still disappointed it isn’t.
