Good news: the team has not been reading the Boards this year, otherwise they would have learned from the denizens of Kon Island that his game has no weaknesses. Anyone pegging him as "just a shooter" has not seen him play (or visited Kon Island).A couple of interesting items:
-Sion adds to the KTriple hype train...says he's been the most surprising player to him so far as he does a little bit of everything and does it well.
I can get behind this. I'd accept a few more Battier-like years.I came here to say how impressed I was by Sion. I got Shane Battier vibes listening to him
In which I learned that Church’s Fried Chicken is the best restaurant he’s discovered in Durham so far.Episode 30 is out, with Maliq Brown.
Either Sion or Mason had a similar answer on their episode, to the “favorite pro team” question, ha.Just watched the Maliq podcast. Seems like a good guy who is proud of his defense.
Funniest part was when Cfos asks what Maliq's favorite pro team is. I won't spoil it.
Add Cooper Flagg's endorsement to the Kon hype:I’m noticing another trend - Kon got called out *again* as being the biggest surprise or most impressive in practice so far. I know the car is sort of out of the bag but the reviews he has gotten from his upperclassman teammates is really promising.
Solid interview and really impressed with Cooper. Great head on those broad shoulders!Cfos is getting better and better as an interviewer. This was his best interview yet. I'd add more, but I can't get the spoiler function to work.
The most interesting part for me was Cooper's mention of guys accepting their roles. He acknowledged that this team has talent galore (a belief that seems to be shared by many), but minutes will be hard fought.
Cooper's comments on the Brotherhood Podcast are now on the front page of ESPN. Great PR for the pod and Caleb for sure!
"It was cool, an unbelievable experience," Flagg said during an appearance on "The Brotherhood Podcast," hosted by his Duke teammate Caleb Foster. "Just having the opportunity to be there and just share the court with that level of talent and player, the people who've made that type of name for themselves. I've been watching them for years, growing up.
"The first day, for sure, I was nervous. I didn't know what to think. I got on the court, and I was like, 'Wow.' I was guarding LeBron in the corner. It kind of just hit me for a second, and I had to snap out of it."
Any guesses on who has most impressed Evans in practice?
