The big Bill Belichick & UNC football catch-all thread

I read the report as saying he has other properties in the Cape Cod area. But what do I know and frankly, he's not our problem for an entire year.
He may only be a problem if your a fan of an nfc east team….just speculating that the giants may give him a call

The front page of ESPN this morning. LOL @ "lowly ACC team"

SO MANY wonderful quotes!

Every store...selling UNC gear carries a gray hoodie, sleeves cut off, with "Chapel Bill" written across the front in Carolina blue.

"Lately the only ones we sold were for Halloween costumes." Couples went out as Bill and Jordon...[t]he guys wore the hoodies with a visor, and their girlfriends wore cheerleading outfits.

Unless Tom Brady is unretiring (again) I wouldn't be worried about Bill coaching in the division. Then again as a Commanders fan I'm not worried about anyone or anything outside of Ashburn, there's enough dysfunction and ineptitude there to tank the team all by itself, no competition necessary.

That entire article was well worth the time it took to read it. Nice find.
What makes all of this SO enjoyable is that Bill's multi decade habit of treating the press with condescending disdain has come home to roost. Sure, a lot of coaches bristle at the press, no harm in that, but Bill broke new ground with his ill concealed contempt for the press, even when they asked reasonable questions.
So he shouldn't be TOO surprised that a whole of people are teeing off on him right now.
What's that expression, you better be nice to the people you meet on the way up because you're very likely to meet them again on the way down.

BTTT

“UNC started the year with buzz and a national spotlight, teeming with optimism -- or maybe merely hope -- that the NFL icon could elevate the program into something more as a first-time college coach. By season's end, Belichick had fielded a team that had more losses by double-digit margins (five) than total wins while offering frequent helpings of unwanted off-field headlines.”

From ESPN and Bill’s 4 minute post game press conference. Had to get home to Jordon? Yecchhh….

A Carolina hire worse than Hubert Davis?
Certainly

Worse hire than Matt Doherty?
Probably so.
