Unless NCAA does something, in a few years most every team will have new starting 5's every season. It is alreayd happening with the graphic from Elite 8. If I want to watch pro athletes, I would just watch Euroleague, which is the best league at this point. NBA is NBA, I personally find it boring with little defense, lots of ego's and way too many games that do not seem to matter at all. Euroleague has tons of fundamentals, most of the teams have a core that stays multiple years, and very strong local support for the team.

Interesting... back in the 70's through the 90's, I would watch a lot more NBA than college basketball. My relative asked me why... he claimed the college game was way more fun watching then the NBA. My response? I didn't care for the college game since players are "constantly" changing since no one could play for more than 4 years... whereas, the NBA teams had their main core players that I could follow year after year. Then, college became more fun for me since at least the core of the teams would stay together, mostly I think because transferring meant sitting out a year... while the NBA went to free agency where all players started looking out for themselves instead of the team and no more continuity.

Now all basketball is becoming hard to watch. With almost half of all college basketball players in the portal, who knows what any team will look like year to year.

Not sure how the sporks work but I appreciate it!

I did a bit more digging and found that you can see the previous games on ESPN3 - so on the espn plus site, if you search for (say) Fenerbahce Beko which is my team, it will ask you to login with a provider because ESPN 3 is not part of ESPN plus (way to complicate things?!)

I usually watch it through my brother's Turkish tv account so I am learning new things., This is more convenient as I do not have to connect an HDMI cable.

Whenever I am down after a loss, I always turn to Duke V Louisville, down by 23 with 9 minutes left. It is ironically the first and only game I've ever shut off before the end buzzer. 2015 NC game is also a good go-to.

My recollection... I was babysitting my granddaughter (year and a half old) and took her outside to "get some fresh air" when Duke was down by 23. Then I started hearing my wife and son-in-law start screaming after each made basket. By the time I came back in, Duke WON!!! I had to watch the replay. Fun game knowing what happens at the end :cool: Sorry for the diversion... good memories. Back to Jeremy Roach!!!
 
I'm really going to miss Jeremy.

4 year starters are hard to come by. Shot the 3 great for us this year, lightning quick on the blow bys, a good finisher (with impeccable english!), and his mid-range game is stellar! I mean, really stellar! Wherever he ends up is going to be getting a great addition! And, while I'm sad to see him go, I totally get it. I'll be pulling for him to get a shot at the NBA this year, instead of another in college, because seeing him in any other college jersey would just be so weird! Best of luck always, Jeremy! We love you here! You'll always be a Blue Devil, first and foremost! Thanks for 4 great years!

This is incredibly disappointing from a fan's perspective, at least this fan's perspective.

Roach is the kind of guy you get more attached to each season. The more years you watch a guy play, the harder it is for your to see him take off that Duke jersey.

It is an odd and unnerving thing to see Roach put on a different college team's jersey.

I’ve enjoyed rooting for Roach and his bravado and heart playing for Duke. But it’s time for new blood and it’s good to see he’s achieved a great opportunity.

But when Proctor battles Roach next year, is Roach still in the “Brotherhood?”

Or do we have to come up with a new brand, and refer to x players as something else?
