I’m happy for the Lions and their fans. I have no resentments against y’all. Well, other than the 1991 playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.

But the disappointment from that loss didn’t last long as the Cowboys went on to win 3 of the next 4 Super Bowls led by one of the greatest offensive lines in history supplemented by one of the all-time great skill position groups of QB, WR, RB, and TE — Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, and Jay Novacek.

I’d be more than happy to see Detroit go all the way this year. And I honestly think there’s a good chance it’ll happen. Still, those pesky Vikings are only a game behind. There’s a showdown looming with the Lions on January 5 that might be for the division crown as well as home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

That was definitely one of the all-time great teams. If the Lions lose to the Vikings in the playoffs, I'm going to vomit.

Their coach will be on the couch with the rest of us next year. That was horrible. Some of it falls on Caleb, but more on the coach. And it isn't their first brain fart of the year.

As a Giants fan I generally want to win, but part of me wants to lose for a better pick.

Yeah, the coach is most to blame. Also Caleb as well as the rest of the offense not hurrying back. But if they had just called a TO with 32 sec left none of that would have mattered, so yeah, it’s on the coach.

Bears made a great comeback in the 2nd half. Played really tough D at the end to put them in a position to win. Then a gritty drive by Caleb, and then they throw it all away. Unbelievable.

They're gonna lose, and you'll have a better pick and likely a better coach. I can't see Daboll sticking around; he's proving that the problem wasn't DJ.

HEY!! If they fire Daboll tomorrow that will give him plenty of time to talk to UNC! :ROFLMAO:

The Raiders just shocked the Chiefs with a 58-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the 4th quarter to take a 17-16 lead. I can all but guarantee that a certain friend of mine (Hint: Southern 😉) is 100% sure that Patrick Mahomes will lead his Kansas City team to a comeback victory.
 
One of the few NFL games I've tuned into at all this year, and I had to see that tragic clusterbleep at the end of a potential upset bid. I told my son at the time that with 15 seconds left, they should just kick the FG. I'm sorry to say that I was completely correct.

Aziz Al-Shaair was kicked out of the game for the hit and there are many cries for him to get a suspension from the league. Frankly, anything short of 6 games would be an abomination and if Trevor Lawrence is out more than 6 then Al-Shaair should sit for those games too. Suspension without pay, of course, He needs to feel a major financial penalty for this nonsense.

Al-Shaair makes $11.33 mil per season on average over his 3 year contract. But, because the NFL puts so much into signing bonuses, his annual salary is only $1.5 mil. As a result, if he was suspended for 6 games, he would only lose about half a million. That's why the NFL needs to hit him with an additional $1 mil fine or something like that. The violence in that hit needs to be dealt with in strong fashion.

All that said, I expect the NFL to totally wimp out in this case as they always do. I imagine Al-Shaair will be suspended for maybe 1 or 2 games (the Texans have a bye week, maybe the league can suspend him from the bye) and if he gets a fine, I doubt it exceeds $50,000. Roger Goodell is the most spineless and useless commissioner in sports.

Meanwhile, an absurd, ridiculous, quirk in the rules was also exposed on the play. After Lawrence was mauled by Al-Shaair, the Jags players did as they should have and tried to attack Al-Shaair. The officials called a penalty on the Jags team for going after him. But, because they were justifiably trying to protect their QB, the penalties are off-setting and the Jags don't get the 15 yards that should have been coming their way from the vicious hit. Offsetting penalties for one guy head-hunting and trying to put a dude into the brain damage ward versus for a few guys on the other team shoving him. Yup, that makes sense. The only way I could see it is if the Jags had actually gotten to Al-Shaair and had beaten him bloody... then I could maybe have understood offsetting penalties... maybe.

Yup. Great for us. Not so great for the fans who a) are in the cold and snow, and b) have to work tomorrow morning after being in the cold until almost midnight. Though from what I understand, most of the Buffalo fans drink so much before the game that they are feeling no pain, which helps more with a) than b).

As a teenager I used to love playing football in the snow with my friends - nothing better than a snow day off from school and snow football.

I can tell you that the stadium lets the wind from Lake Erie whip over the upper seats for a level of cold I don't want to experience again!

I am gobsmacked that the new stadium doesn't have a roof planned.
