Agree! Flash them occasionally in the upper panels. It would solve my problem of not being able to read the individual players stats in the bottom corners, which seem very small unless you are on the sidelines and not at an angle. I like knowing pts, rebounds, fouls without looking at my phone.Aren't each of the panels (4 upper and 4 lower) programmable with any content they wish? So the larger upper panels could be used for stats when there is not any good video content. Maybe contacting the board operators or producers would prompt a change.
On the side view, team fouls are right below the team score and the possession arrow is below the clock (but hadn't been established yet in this pic).No personal preference can ever be "correct", but I love the new scoreboard. We get to see so many more replays than they showed on the old board and they look so much better when they are shown. They rotate through most of the stats so you get to see them pretty easily. Much more engaging experience.
However, I would really like for them to find a space somewhere to show team fouls and the possession arrow. Was keeping track pretty well during the AU-Duke game but it is nice to have a reference somewhere on the screen.
Our seats are in Section 5, above the Duke bench, and the side of the new scoreboard that faces us shows all of that information except assists. Moreover, now we can see high-resolution replays that don't look like they're being displayed by an Atari 2600 console on an early 1990s computer monitor. Count me as one who likes the new scoreboard. On this side of the "scoreboard" you will not see who is playing, points, fouls assists, rebounds, and I could go on.
