NCAA Football 2024 (national discussion)

LSU - Ole Miss going to OT*. Great drive led by Nussmeier to tie it up.
Two 4th down conversions during the drive, including a 23 yard TD strike.

*Still 11 seconds for Ole Miss and Kiffin to do something.

Ya, the Big Ten has great institutions with huge followings, so it's no surprise that they have a lot of power and a huge TV contract.
But before this year, if you took away Michigan, tOSU and Penn State you didn't have an especially strong football conference. Definitely good, but not at all great, which is how Northwestern was able to do well in the former western division...I'm not surprised some of the newcomers are doing well.

Yeah, the B1G has literally doubled the number of significant football programs they have from 3 to 6.

p.s. It's perfectly OK to laugh at the idea that USC is a significant football program. But at least they have history.

They certainly lead the NCAA in all-time murders by a running back.

Notre Dame says hold my beer - former ND running back Cierre Wood got life for killing his girlfriend's five year old daughter (the ex-girlfriend was also involved in killing the child - really awful story). One of those times I'm glad ND isn't in the ACC, though that is the least of my concerns here.

Not to be macabre, but … USC still leads?
