There are two awards listed. The Tisdale recognizes freshmen only.

He is the sixth Duke player to win the Oscar Robertson Trophy and ninth to win the USBWA’s Player of the Year honor. Flagg is also Duke’s fifth Wayman Tisdale Award winner
Since the 1958-59 season, the USBWA has named a National Player of the Year. In 1998, the award was named in honor of the University of Cincinnati Hall of Famer and two-time USBWA Player of the Year Oscar Robertson. It is the nation's oldest award and the only one named after a former player.

Wikipedia lists six major NPOY awards:

The Oscar Robertson Trophy (US Basketball Writers Association)
AP Player of the Year
National Association of Basketball Coaches Player of the Year
The Wooden Award (LA Athletic Club)
The Naismith College Player of the Year (Atlanta Tipoff Club)
Sporting News Player of the Year

That being said, I am pretty sure Cooper already has the award that means the most ... "the best pea-picker in all of Maine".

(Video for anyone who didn't get the reference)

So far:

USBWA NPOY: Flagg
Sporting News NPOY: Broome

Not a POY award but in some ways, even more...
While the invitation of a basketball player to a golf tournament may seem strange at first glance, the Presidents Cup has always been an event known for its elite, global appeal. The invitation to Flagg was made after an extensive review of his athletic profile and his rising profile in the world of sports. His remarkable athleticism, quick reflexes, and natural competitive edge have made him an intriguing figure in the crossover world of sports. The Presidents Cup organizers, seeing a player of Flagg’s caliber as a potential addition to their event, have now opened the door for an entirely new breed of athlete to make waves across different sports.

Reading comments on Twitter recruiting high school players, analyzing and recruiting portal players while constructing a team is not considered part of a coach’s job. Otherwise there would be more support for Jon. According to the twitter “experts”, if a coach has great talent he shouldn’t be coach of the year. Evidently the ACC press corps feel the same way.

I disagree with them . Its part of the job for him . I find it utterly ridiculous . It's his job as coach . Construction, assembly by recruitment of the best players possible as well as the X and O's .
My opinion is he is paying "Duke" tax .
If he was at any other major program I believe he would run away with it.
This wasn't being snarky towards you .
Just venting my frustration with it.
I was skeptical of JS when he took over .
I'm a believer in him at this point.
