It’s either Kon or Coop. I went with Coop because he just does more stuff. He’s one of our best defenders, our best assist guy, an excellent rebounder, and he scores when needed. What’s not to like?

Loved Kon tonight, and he may very well be our leading scorer this year. But Cooper is the straw that stirs the drink, so he gets my vote.

Kon seemed to get the first hit. A few hits in the middle, including four the hard way, plus a rebound that would make DeJuan Blair blush.

OK I am going to fess up--I am the guy who voted for CFos. Here is my reasoning. Please be easy on me.

CFos is the fastest on the dribble on the team and has been since he got here. I think his game has grown in confidence a lot in the past year. I thought he drove well, handled the ball well, and shot pretty well yesterday and he has the best upside to being the lead guard this season.

2 turnovers? That's the same as Cooper and one more than KK. Should we bench him for the extra turnover? Is he Tyus Jones? Of course not. That's not his fault.

KK and Cooper had the kind of game that we expect each time out. Caleb had the kind of game he can build on.

I thought Foster was in the running early but he failed to finish a couple of easy layups and had one dumb TO while also taking a couple of forced shots early in the clock. However, his ability to drive and overall aggressiveness are something the team needs. I’m happy with where he is and just hope he figures out where his opportunities are for scoring vs passing.
