MBB/WBB: Former Duke Players Now at Other Schools

I tuned in the Mizzou game 5 1/2 minutes in and they had 24 points by then. And yes, Mitchell was definitely in his element.

Jeremy got what he wanted, a chance to show he could be a PG. I hope he's making some cash, b/c he has definitely shown that he cannot be a PG at the next level. Sometimes things just don'w work out the way you want them to.

Jeremy Roach appears to have lost his starting spot at Baylor. He’s come off the bench in the last two games and shot a combined 2-15 from the field. Really a bummer how things have gone for him this season.
He had concussions this season, so I think the brought him off the bench afterwards. He hasn't been the same. I give him credit for trying, but concussion symptoms can linger, especially if the player pushes them aside in order to get back playing.

Mitchell is absolutely cooking Alabama right now.
Happy for Mitchell.

(Happier that Gates took the mic to stop the students from court storming. The SEC's policy to fine schools is the right move. It should be more punitive for the 1st offense, but it's a step in the right direction. The ACC should follow suit.)

The move has been good for Mitchell. He's gotten more consistent, but not yet a guaranteed double figure scorer. Mizzou should use some NIL money on him, get him to stay another year (otherwise someone else will). With a good senior year, he might get himself into the draft.

I’m happy for Mark too but he’s not an NBA prospect. He’s not a good enough athlete and doesn’t have the shooting or ball skills. He’s a Euro league guy.

Yea, his three point percentage has actually gone down every year. Missouri has been good for him. But he’s not an NBA prospect.

When Georgia upset Kentucky in January the AD thanked the students for not storming the court and promised to spend the $25,000 that they would have had to pay for the fine on student promotions. Turns out you can keep the kids off the floor and put player safety first if you really try, regardless of what our opponents try to claim.

I did write "with a good senior year, he might get himself into the draft" (added my emphasis in italics). I wouldn't put him there now, but next year who knows for sure?

Money talks. It's the only language ADs know. Besides W's, but money trumps them, too.

Brakefield put Ole Miss up 4 with a sweet inbounds bucket. But what was the Ole Miss coach doing wasting all that time before calling time out and eliminating the chance to go 2 for 1?
And now Brakefield puts them up 2 with 7+ seconds left!

They missed Brakefield when he was wide open under the basket and settled for a lame three by Pedula. That rattled off the rim...which allowed Brakefield to get the rebound and putback.
