Inflection points.

Jon Scheyer emphasized how Duke needed to be better at key moments before the California road trip—before and after half, when the opponent makes a run, etc. Since then we’ve been excellent in those situations, and it’s made the difference between tight wins and dominating quality opponents. Duke took a 1 point game towards the end of the first half and turned it into a blowout by finishing the half on a 9-0 run and coming out of the locker room just as hot.

Not sure anyone had a bad game tonight. Even Dame and Caleb, who were relatively quiet offensively, led the way in a stellar defensive effort that made Louisville have to beat us with their secondary scorers. That didn’t go so well.

Special shoutout to Nik’s second half too—we need him to be the offensive weapon off the bench to complement Maliq’s defensive aptitude. He’s trending upward in a big way.

What. A. Win.

Such a complete victory, and maybe our best defensive game. I thought we played great on D in the first half, and then we come out and play even better. This all in a game where Cam and Slim didn't have to be great. Particularly proud of our rebounding.

Solid games from Nik and Pat, but Caleb was steady even while not filling the stat sheet.

Wow you really expressed it well. I hope Nik has turned a corner.

you know and it feels like that is a level this team can consistently reach. Excellent defensive effort, Ngongba playing well, and slightly above average 3 point shooting. Did think we benefitted from the refs letting both teams play and lousiville not playing their best. I think this was their most complete effort in a quad 1 game.
