MBB: Duke 76, L'ville 65 Post Game Thread

I think Duke is going to need to start Brown and bring Khaman off the bench. I’m not sure whether Foster or Sion should start but either player would have a short leash. Make a quick substitution if not producing. Kon is a dilemma. His poor shooting has really stymied our offense. I don’t think we have a backup for him. Evans is too slight to defend there against a lot of opponents but he might provide some sorely needed scoring.

Kon is no dilemma. He's by far our most efficient playmaker with a 3.6 a/t ratio. As soon as his shot starts falling, he will be a huge offensive weapon. McCain shot it poorly during the first 9 games last year as he adjusted to college ball. Patience.

Replicating a guy like this is particularly realistic because there is no question that Maliq will show off his skills to a much bigger audience than he would at Syracuse, and Duke can afford to play a defensive specialist more than a lot of teams because we have other weapons to compensate for his lack of premier offensive skill.
Yeah, also Brown is capable of more offense (averaged 9.5 ppg last year compared to 3.1 so far this year) than he has shown but we have more other options than Syracuse did.

these plays and options available as the plays develop are mesmorizing. love to see all 5 players involved in the plays as the available misdirects etc really confuses the opposing team...lets keep this up Coaches imo!!
Yes, should be required viewing for all of the "Jon just rolls the ball out and lets them play and we need an offensive coordinator " crowd. There's way more happening than casual basketball fans understand.
