Yes. It would be incredibly unfortunate if Duke has a coach who used colorful language.I am guessing maybe Dopeshop is reacting to the profanity that Native references?
oh, come on !!! those kids are going to hear/learn/use that language and it's not gonna be from JJ.....lol....Absolutely classless JJ

It's more of a read the room thing. I get that protocol and decorum have become blurred over time, but opening pressers aren't podcasts--or shouldn't be. And more importantly, I don't think it really served it's purpose in reinforcing his point--t's more I like to hear myself talk and I'm going to make sure that you remember it.oh, come on !!! those kids are going to hear/learn/use that language and it's not gonna be from JJ.....lol....
True story. When I met JJ he was with Knox and I was so excited I dropped the f bomb loudly. So yes, I can promise one of his sons has heard such vulgarity at least once before.oh, come on !!! those kids are going to hear/learn/use that language and it's not gonna be from JJ.....lol....
On the other hand, some folks might not think it's worthwhile/necessary to share an encounter until someone is put into a position of authority. For others it might not be until other people make claims/allegations against someone, that they feel comfortable relating a similar experience.Nothing irritates me more than someone deciding that 20 years after the fact is the time to share their story. This applies to anything, whether it's sports or politics. Your time to bring your accusations out into the open is long past due.
Anyway, this will be in the headlines for the next few days.

Well let's look at the political perspective, most pointedly the POTUS race. It's not like Trump is running his very first campaign, yet in the past couple weeks people have stepped forward with their stories. Your time expired long ago. It's why there is such a thing as a statute of limitations in the courts. On the other hand, some folks might not think it's worthwhile/necessary to share an encounter until someone is put into a position of authority. We are not allowed to have a political discussion here but for the sake of nothing but facts it is worth noting that the allegations to which you refer were covered by a long-term non-disclosure agreement that prevented the accuser from talking about them publicly. I believe the allegations were levied quite literally within days of the NDA expiration... which greatly undermines your point about someone holding onto their story and only releasing it many years later.Well let's look at the political perspective, most pointedly the POTUS race. No argument there. Seems entirely inappropriate for someone to bring this up AFTER Redick gets the job. If she really had a complaint, why not make it known before he was hired. I mean, his name was all over the news for weeks. In fact, if she were so concerned, she should have come forward weeks ago when the Lakers talk first began. To me, all you're doing is finding a way to get yourself some attention, not to right any wrongs.
It may undermine the OPs analogy but it actually strengthens the question - why didn’t this person speak up until now? She was most definitely *not* under an NDA.We are not allowed to have a political discussion here but for the sake of nothing but facts it is worth noting that the allegations to which you refer were covered by a long-term non-disclosure agreement that prevented the accuser from talking about them publicly. I mean, there are a lot of very valid and real reasons why victims might not bring something up years later. Obviously no idea what happened here and Redick long ago earned my personal benefit of the doubt but all the “say it when it happens” non-sense ignores an awful lot of historical and existing power imbalances that act furniture against the door of people who might be trying to open it from the other side.We are not allowed to have a political discussion here but for the sake of nothing but facts it is worth noting that the allegations to which you refer were covered by a long-term non-disclosure agreement that prevented the accuser from talking about them publicly. I don't think anyoen outside of a small fringe will give this any credence and Lebron etc will come to his defense. Just looking at her social media, leaving aside the chasmic time period she had to ever surface these claims before, she comes off as a charlatan. That's all I'm going to say because the admins will rightfully squelch this topic shortly. But this is a load of crap.Nothing irritates me more than someone deciding that 20 years after the fact is the time to share their story. This applies to anything, whether it's sports or politics. Everyone keeps saying that JJ "has to" play Bronnie serious minutes. I don't know that it's true. It seems quite a leap to assume that.JJ is in a lose lose situation with this team. The only thing good about this job is that it is the Lakers. Bronny is terrible and he is going to be forced to play him some serious minutes or he loses Lebron who is the real power behind the organization now. The other players probably have no respect for that if they are honest and the Lakers will still have championship pressure since they are the Lakers with Lebron. There is a reason nobody wants to play for the Lakers.

It seems very unlikely that JJ didn't address this before taking the job - especially given his close relationship with Lebron. If it really is some sort of understanding that JJ has agreed to, then I think he's taking a huge risk. But I'm not willing to make that giant leap yet. Let's see what happens once the weather cools and there are games that count.
