He recovered well from a 1st round 77Greyserman with a -4 (68) round today to finish the tournament at -2. He is currently T20.
You described his round round accurately- ok. Seemed to drive well but approach shots were very average. Didn’t play himself out of contention but gave himself too much work to make it likely.Alex with an ok round, -2 and currently T20, but he was out early and half the field just starting to tee off. Nothing spectacular but mistake-free golf until the 17th when he missed a 5-1/2 footer for par (a 3-putt). Tee time tomorrow is 12:21 CST.
Alex T52. He has a lot of work to do tomorrow.Alex has work to do.
I'm not sure I'd go that far, AGD. Any golfer can have a bad week, even Rory misses cuts (very very rarely). Alex is consistently playing the best golf of his career (by far), at least in the early season. I was going to wait a few more tournaments to do this because it's a small sample, but...Alex should have a good idea what score is needed to make the cut (my guess is -4) but hopefully that won’t add more pressure since he will need to go at least -2 again. Of course if he can’t make this cut then his days might be numbered on the tour…
No problem. I'm trying my best to stay positive. It's not all that easy nowadays.Yeah I took that a bit too far![]()
