Dukies on the 2025 PGA and LPGA Tours

Max slogs through his round and ends up -1 for the day highlighted by a hole-out from the bunker on 16 for eagle. Scores are generally lower but his -3 overall has him currently T-4 with plenty of players still to tee off.

With everyone now thru at least five holes, it looks like Max will be no better than T-6th but no worse than T-12th (unless someone goes on a run not yet seen). I’m going to guess he ends up T-9.

So Rafael Campos, who only about 5 people thought should have a sponsor's exemption (him, his wife, and a few members of the selection committee) is currently DFL at +11. He's #151 in the FedExCup and #186 in the OWGR. SMH
Campos finishes +12, 8 shots (!) off the cut, and is saved from a DFL by Matthieu Pavon. I'm betting he never attends another signature event without buying a ticket, no matter how eloquent his writing skills (see article linked earlier).

Early scores are much better than day 1 but of course the better players this week are the only ones playing. I’d like to see Max get to -4 today…

Max is paired with Day who had the best round (-8) yesterday. Im betting Day comes back down to Earth a bit but Max should get plenty of air time.
Top ten full of familiar names -- Rory, JT, Keegan, Shane, Wyndham, Collin, and Max -- to use just first names. Pretty good field, I'd say.

Can be do the reverse jinx? He’s now +4 on the day and no golfer in the field has a worse round so far.
I was trying! As soon as he put a 149-yard approach shot from the fairway into the water on hole 3 I knew it was gonna be a long day…

The rule to me is you wait to see if the player is off to a good start or a bad one. If it is bad you can comment. If it looks good you wait to see if they maintain. Treat it like a potential no hitter till that option is gone.

Or don’t, it’s a free message board among friends!

Or it could be like a knife fight.

Greyserman finished today’s round and the tournament at Even Par. He is T24. Not shabby but not the Top 10 finish I was expecting at the start of the weekend.
