Duke Women's Soccer 2024

I guess we're in the "Top Left" region and not the East or the South? Surely someone could have gotten more creative with that.

Congrats to the team on a well-deserved top overall seed. Hope we can send Church out on top.

I suppose regions have little meaning when the highest among the 4 seeds in each 'pod' in the 1st and 2nd rounds, then again in the 3rd round and quarterfinals hosts the other 3 teams... And with the semis and championship being played in Cary, duke2x is correct—the lady Devils will get to sleep in Durham for every game they play in the tourney, given they're a #1 seed. Let's hope that translates into six magical soccer eves in Durham on their way to a natty!

Should Duke win the first round, we'll host two second round games, and two days later we'll host the third round game between the 2 second round winners.
Thanks. It took me about five years figure out the college baseball playoff format, so I appreciate any help I can get. This feels unsatisfying asymmetrical, but I guess it makes sense to have 32 teams hosting the first round games to maximize fan interest.

Should we beat Howard, Texas Tech will be likely opponent.
Their coach is nonother than Duke legend Tom Stone, the man scored the famous goal in 1986 in the 1-0 win over Akron for Duke's only national championship in soccer

And Duke's first National Championship in any sport.

That pickle tower near me in Durham was developed by his father if memory serves me right
