Duke Football 2024

Please do yourself a favor and don’t get Xfinity (just use Comcast for internet).
This has been a long term quandary for me. I have had DirecTV since it first came along, even though I have Comcast internet and could easily get their tv service. But DirecTV "service" continues to deteriorate...as I said, I no longer get the local ABC affiliate due to a different contractual squabble...meanwhile DirecTV is losing subscribers at a rapid rate (they lost 1.8 million subscribers last year it is estimated, on a base of about 11 million)...
Of course I know Comcast completely sucks, but any more loss of channels from DirecTV and I'm ultimately going to have to make a move. This current ESPN squabble will almost certainly end soon, but when will the next one happen?
Wish I could join those who get all their Duke sports via streaming, but this is absolutely a no go for me, I haven't seen any combination of stuff that I would want....and those who previously touted it to me no longer do so.

I am a big fan of YoutubeTV. Cut the Xfinity cord and am thrilled with the decision

Does YouTube tv have dvr and all the sports channels? Last time I looked it did not and that’s what I need
It has good recording capabilities but does not have Bally. As a Braves fan that makes it a no-go for me. If they carried Bally (they used to), I'd return to it from DirecTV Stream in a second, especially since then I'd get a bundling discount for Sunday Ticket.

I hate to say it, sorta, but the ESPN web site has a rather interesting read on the Elko/Leonard matchup tonight that prominently features several current and former Duke players.
I’m still scratching my head that Peebles and Waters transferred to schools which really aren’t better football schools than Duke anymore. I’m hoping for their sake that they at least earned their Duke degrees before doing so; seems like a strange move unless the NIL money was seven-figures better than what they could earn at Duke.

Cut the cord long ago, but YouTube TV not going to happen without Bally. Looks like Fubo unless things settle soon.
I’m about to cut cable; Google Fiber tomorrow, followed by YouTube. (Goodbye Spectrum with your rising prices and reduced service/reliability.) No MLB Network, but the off-season is soon,so won’t mind. Don’t care about Bally since we’re in the Nats region, and never got MASN. Next spring, I’ll think about Hulu, it at least has MLB.

(‘my number one must-have is Turner Classic Movies.)

others seem to be saying you don't get all the sports channels, right?
Pretty sure all the majors but Bally. Since the Braves are on Bally it isn't an option for me. Divorce is too expensive, and I'm quite fond of Mrs. P. If you don't need Bally YouTube TV is a good option. You can get its NFL Sunday Ticket at a discount.

YTTV does not get Bally. (I'm thrilled that my Dallas Stars are no longer on Bally.) Other than Bally--which is the successor to the Fox regional sports networks and still does have many local/regional pro-sports franchises, unfortunately, and is essential as well if you want to watch Texas high-school football playoffs, if you're in Texas, and if you're in Texas of course you do--YTTV has pretty much all sports. The only other exceptions are things that aren't available on cable or other cable substitutes as well, such as MLS on Apple TV, non-broadcast ESPN items that are on ACCN+/ESPN+, Premier League on Peacock, and Serie A on Paramount+.

My Hulu unlimited DVR is filled with TCM movies (and Duke games). I'll browse ahead for a week or two and load up.
I have Verizon 5 G which is limited to certain areas, but I use Hulu live for streaming. I have all sports channels, not sure about Bally’s but think not. I can record, but often times it ignores my command. While not on this subject, can someone explain to me how to watch ACCNX for our third game?

You get it via ESPN+. That is a paid streaming service, often bundled with Disney+ and Hulu+. It is different from live ESPN.

Once you are in the ESPN+ app (and have signed into your ESPN+ account) search for the game.

There is no longer a free trial, and it appears that you can't use a VPN with it.

Hulu does not carry Bally. Only Fubo and DirecTV carry Bally. The fetching Mrs. P is a huge Braves fan, so my choices are Fubo and DirecTV. Heading to Fubo in a few days unless this resolves.

You CAN watch it on ESPN+, but you do not need ESPN+ to get the game.

There should be two parallel streams: one on ACCNX and one on ESPN+.

I watch ACCNX on my desktop by logging in my cable credentials on ESPN’s website. As I understand it, others log in their provider’s credentials on the ESPN app to watch on their smart TV or portable device.
