Duke Football 2024

Is the game in ACCÑ? My Guide on Comcast in South Florida has Western Carolina vs NC State at 7:00. Anyone have any additional info?

Leonard didn't abandon the team tho, even if he couldn't play he still attended practices and meetings, I think he was at the bowl game. Elko just left, and left his players high and dry. Some people here that have some connections to the program certainly hinted that the players did not take Elko's leaving very well.
I think the situation with Riley for Duke fans is this. We don't get many football stars, and it feels like a gut punch when a homegrown star leaves for one of the name brand teams. But you also have to acknowledge that this was going to be his 3rd HC, his 3rd OC, most of his line and some of his skill players were leaving. He chose the best situation for himself given the circumstances but I don't think he did it with malice.
If Leonard shows out at ND, it'll give us that little jealous feeling of "we could have had that for one more season". I think I take that over him having a terrible run or being called a fraud. No, much better to say "yeah, Riley Leonard is legit, and for a while, he was Duke's".

Agreed. And I don't read anyone complaining when Duke accepts a transfer, in football, basketball, or whatever else. You can't have it both ways. Do I have the same love and loyalty for someone who leaves that I do for someone who stays? No. But do I hate them? No.

still not a reason to root for ND...they tampered with our QB while he was still at Duke...

But it’s a binary choice between them and Aggy. So it’s them. Rooting “for” one or “against” the other = semantics in such a situation.
I think it's the fact that Riley was a captain that still rubs me the wrong way, though I really don't care that much. Being a captain used to mean at least a little something (like not abandoning ship) but like I said, not that big a deal. Just not gonna root for him (nor against him) that's all.
