I mean, that's pretty amazing. You can join in the fun by going to this page to register... or if you just want to make a donation to support an important cause, you can do it on this page too: https://cure.pcrf-kids.org/team/606215

And, here is a little bonus... I have set up a "team" for the DBR Podcast community so we can all be recognized together!! When you sign up or make your donation, make sure you indicate you are part of the DBR team!

Thanks!! I will be in Durham for this (and for CTC) and hope to see a lot of you there!

I forgot to mention, it costs $30 to register for the event... And here are some of the things you get for a larger donation.

$150 Level Recognition - Event Basketball

And after you listen, please please please go to https://tinyurl.com/DukeDribble or https://cure.pcrf-kids.org/team/606215 and join the DBR team by making a donation to the cause.

I donated $500 to get a Duke basketball, Duke hat, and to enter a raffle for 4 tickets to a home game.

OK, I've got to complain about this event. It was horribly done. The way it was set up, it looked like you should check-in early, then go to the women's open practice. Great. But the practice wasn't over by the time the fundraiser started. They were still in the middle of intense drills. I didn't so much as dribble a ball for the Dribble for Victory thing, because I wanted to, you know, watch our team. By the time practice was reduced to free throws and I could go outside, the Dribble was over, the lunch line was long, and all the men's players were headed inside to the locker room. It also meant that the women couldn't participate in the fundraiser.

Why?

Sorry, but that's just a lousy way to run a railroad. I'm extremely disappointed in how that was managed. Thank goodness it was for a good cause, or I'd be asking for my money back. But it's still ridiculous to be forced to choose between team or charity.

Very poor job with this, Duke. Very poor.

Totally agree. We were there at 9:30, watched the ladies, at the end of their practice saw people coming in with the gift BBs ad asked about it and found out we had missed the walk etc. Went out to see wat was going on and found they had nothing but small shirts and that we had missed the walk. It was handled terribly

Our grandsons participated in the Dribble For Victory fundraiser, scored themselves a couple of basketballs, and got them autographed by several players, including Tyrese Proctor. I'm disappointed to hear that some aspects of the event didn't work out as well for other attendees, but these boys had a great time. And I'm sure the intended beneficiaries will be grateful for the contributions to such a worthy cause.
