That's two ACC series losses in a row, and unlike the one against the Heels, this one was against a bad team.
It's also 2 road series. You are normally not upset if you go 1-2 on the road. However...
Miami isn't going to play its way into an at-large bid without a miracle.
Duke's RPI is 43 right now. That's almost always out or bubble out unless you are royalty or pay Bubba Cunnigham's bonuses.
Duke is in a 4-way tie with UVA, Wake, and VT for 7th. If you seeded them today, I think Duke would get the #7 or #8 seed because Duke (3-0) and VT (3-0) don't play for a couple weeks. I'm very skeptical the addition of Cal and Stanford will mean 2 extra ACC teams in. 8 has been a psychological barrier for the Committee, and this is not a vintage ACC (Iike every ACC sport this year). The top 8 teams on Day 2 of the ACC tournament will get bids unless there is a major upset. 7-10 and 8-9 are not major upsets. It just means the loser stays home.
