Duke Alums on the 2024 PGA and LPGA Tours

Alex retains his card at 121st place, by 17.684 points. Too close for comfort.

Obviously, he needs to pick up his game next year as only the top-100 will retain their cards for 2026. He's 166 points behind this year's #100.

He played his best golf in the fall, but this is a bit of a mirage. Only a few top-50 golfers were in the fall tournaments.

He needs to spend the next 6 weeks concentrating on his putting, he's 168th on the Tour. By contrast, he's 9th in Total Driving, and 19th in Greens In Regulation. Drive for Show, Putt for Dough. He made over $1M in official money despite a pretty poor year (for him, he previously finished 71st and 54th) so he wants to keep that train running for another 15 to 20 years.

On to 2025!

Well this is disappointing. Max & Celine are playing the Grant Thornton Invitational, but they're not paired up.

No
We change groups. I had Brandon Wu today, who had some challenges and ended up +1. Also SH Kim and Ben Kuhles. I forget my group tomorrow (I AM old!) but no one notable. I am off on Saturday, but hopefully I get someone interesting on sunday.
