I don't know about that. There were 3 PGA winners 2 shots behind him, I expected at least 1 of them to put some pressure on him and none came close even though McCarty was only -1 on his round through 13 holes. There were a couple of -9s yesterday so the course was gettable. All props to McCarty, he got the job done, and his eagle on the par-4 was a dagger. If Kevin had shot -6 he would have forced a playoff.I feel like you aren’t nailing this one right now
That’s a great story. Thanks for linking to it. Carving out a career in professional golf is not the easiest way to make a living that’s for sure.I don't know about that. Most importantly, Kevin has now given himself a real shot at keeping his card. He moved up 39 spots and is 68 points behind #125. It's too bad Jaeger was in the field, he sucked up those 300 2nd-place points but can't use them. Kevin could have gotten about 80 more points (T2 vs. T3).
Though Alex dropped a spot, more importantly he padded his cushion on #126 to 60 points (it was about 40) This is great news, it's been a struggle and he was outside the cut most of the year.
They're both playing well, I'd say Alex has over 90% chance of keeping his card, and Kevin has raised his chances from less than 5% to 50-50. Five tournaments left, 3 of which are outside the country. Keep grinding!
Here's a nice little article focusing on Kevin:

And then immediately bogeys #2Streelman makes birdie on his first hole (#10). Keep it going…
My unscientific projection puts the cut line at -4 to -5 so Alex needs to do as well or better today.Friday tee times:

30 MPH winds in Vegas. Yeesh. Round delayed, Kevin will probably finish, Alex will definitely not and may not even start.Friday tee times:

Streelman certainly hopes so as he is +3 thru 10 and down to -1. I think he is toast…I'm thinking the scores won't be as low today. Maybe the cut at -3?
Scores are higher due to wind, but not so much higher that Kevin makes the cut. He’s +4 on 5he day and needs to birdie last 3 to stand a chance.Streelman certainly hopes so as he is +3 thru 10 and down to -1. I think he is toast…
