Duke Alums on the 2024 PGA and LPGA Tours

Neither can win today, but a really, really good round could get them a top-5 which they both desperately need.

Alex with the round of the day and a T5. He'll get 105 points and move up to 116. Great weekend, but he can't rest on it because there are 6 tournaments left and his lead on #125 is 37 points. This was his best finish of the year (and only 2nd top-10 which was in an off-event) so very timely and promising, and I hope it signals that he has found his game.

I was so tempted to post when he chipped in from 78 yards at the 2nd for eagle, but I kinda promised AG I would keep my trap shut (see, it worked!).

Finish strong, snag your card, and start fresh next year Alex!

Alex won $312K, which will pay his bills for quite a while. Streels at T42 won $26K, which may pay his bills for a fortnight.

Meanwhile, Alex has missed two 5-foot putts in the first 7 holes. :(

Pars aren't gonna get it done on this course. Like last week, looking like a -6 will be needed to play the weekend.

Alex ends up -4 for the day which T-27. Kevin sits alone in 4th with the leader at -10.

Streelman with back to back birdies on 13 and 14, his fourth and fifth holes of the round, so he is -2 today and -9 overall. Keep it up…

Course playing tougher today, Alex safely into the weekend and Kevin looks very strong also.

Alex and Kevin both playing next week in Las Vegas as they continue to grind for their cards. As a bonus, Max will be playing too, taking a break from his well-earned vacation.

Oh come on. Alex somehow finds water at the Black Desert Championship and double bogeys. Later has a chance to get one back and misses a 4-footer. Ugh.
