ACC Football: Week 0 and 1

Midnight Mike loses at home in front of bajillions of very judgmental fans with sky high expectations.

Enjoy starting off week 2 by dropping out of the rankings, Coach.

Nice game by Riley, a guy a have no qualms with. The dude literally gave his body for what he did for us during his years at Duke. He was and is fun to watch.

Watching Riley's post game on field interview; he's filled with humility and I've always liked that about him. He was asked about the "C on his chest", and his answer is "I don't want to talk about myself".

I'll enjoy seeing the Irish lose a few this year, but I look forward to seeing RL on Sundays next year.

Is that Graham Barton giving Leonard a hug after the post game interview?

Good for the former Blue Devils!

It was nice to see Elko’s wife and kids tell Leonard good game.

I noticed that, too. Graham, and 2 others I did not recognize, had sideline passes and gave Riley a hug after his postgame interview.

I also thought it was nice that Elko’s family congratulated Riley.

Lessee...QB Riley Leonard lines up against HC Mike Elko. Odd, but more agreeable to me if one of the teams is Duke.

Earlier in the game, they did a little graphic of "Elko's Kitchen". It said in 22-23, Duke had eight 4 and 5 star recruits. Can anyone tell me who those mythical players were?

ESPN says ...

2022 commits
Jaden Watkins, WR (switched to DB, redshirted, played in one game in 2023, entered portal when Elko left, but I can't find where he went)

2020 commits
Luca Diamont, QB (switched to WR, graduated in December 2023 and is now a luxury real estate agent in LA)

So that's ... two?

Rivals says ...

2022 commits
Vincent Anthony, DE (from Durham - returning starter had two sacks vs. Elon on Friday)

2019 commits
Tony Davis, DB (played 10 games in four years, wrote a very nice message to fans when he became a graduate transfer out: https://www.on3.com/college/duke-bl...fans-after-entering-the-ncaa-transfer-portal/ )

So ... yeah. Not sure where they got that.
