ACC Football: Week 0 and 1

Either Clemson's defense is better than I anticipated, or Georgia is missing transfer Etienne a lot more than I thought they would for this game. 6-0 Bulldogs at the half. A defensive slugfest thus far.

*NOTE: Posting this here because I don't see a current College Football thread yet.

It's the right thread when it involves an ACC team.

I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a more nonchalant QB while scrambling or rushing than Miami’s Cam Ward. He acts like he’s playing against little kids who can’t really touch him here against the Florida Gators.

Ohio really controlled the ball in the 1st quarter in Syracuse. Time of possession 13:51 for Ohio, 1:09 for Syracuse. Two long drives for Ohio, each resulting in FG. Only 1 possession for the Orange, 3 and out. Ohio 6 Syracuse 0.

But Syracuse opens up the 2nd quarter with a fast 75-yard TD drive. Now Syracuse 7 Ohio 6.

I'm shocked there is not a single post discussing ACC stalwart Stanford's narrow loss to powerhouse TCU!

Still, Stanford looks to be in a rebuilding year.

The U is taking care of business so far in the swamp (Florida, not DC, for those that also read the section thread.). 17-3 midway through the second quarter.

I’m looking forward to the Syracuse-Georgia Tech game in the Dome next week. Two good quarterbacks. Two teams that could be near the top of the ACC. Syracuse will have to do better with rushing defense than they did this week if they want to beat the Jackets.
