2027 Men's Basketball Recruiting

Another player of interest, according to Sam Lance of ZagsBlog:

Paul Osaruyi is a 6-10 center from Toronto who plays for CIA Bella Vista Prep in Arizona. Here's how the recruiting services rank him in the 2027 class.

247: #8
247 Composite: #6
ESPN: #4
On3: #12
On3 Industry: #6

There are a number of highlights available on YouTube if you search "CIA Bella Vista", but for those who prefer the warts-and-all experience, here's a full replay. The NBA -- yes, that one -- streamed a full Hoophall West game back on January 2 between CIA Bella Vista (with Osaruyi, jersey #25) and Link Academy (with 2025 prospect Chris Cenac, who will play for Houston this fall). According to the box score, Osaruyi played 17 minutes off the bench and scored 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 FT), adding 6 boards, an assist, and a block in the upset win.

If you lack the time for that, College Basketball Scouting has a recent set of Nike EYBL highlights (Arizona Unity, jersey #5).

Nike has an Elite 100 Camp in St. Louis this week, mostly inviting prospects from the 2027 graduating class. They posted the rosters on Instagram.

Some players of interest (mentioned earlier in this thread) in attendance:

King Gibson, Team Chicago, jersey #57
Baba Oladotun, Team Cleveland, jersey #100
CJ Rosser, Team Denver, jersey #128
Marcus Spears Jr, Team Dallas, jersey #106

Nike EYBL has a livestream page for the event, divided up into separate court feeds for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. So it looks like you can replay all of these even after the event is over.

The website doesn't seem to have any highlights, box scores, or other content from the camp. SportsCenter NEXT posted some Oladotun highlights:

The DBR front page has an article about Duke extending their first 2027 offer to Obinna Ekezie Jr, whose father played for Maryland in the late 1990s.

It's a nice twist, if it were true. But from what I can tell, Duke has expressed an interest but made no such offer, at least yet. From Sam Lance of ZagsBlog:

"Reaching out" is not the same thing, unless you're holding an offer sheet at the end of your outstretched arm. Ekezie himself reposted what Sam Lance wrote, but has not said anything about receiving a Duke offer.

The front page article links to a few videos, but not to any news of the offer. I think, for the time being, this is a non-story.

Is he gonna reclass?
Don't know, just recently turned 15. Made the U16 team and came off the bench to average 13 points a game in recent tournament.

Has an older brother who is big-time OL football prospect class of 2027.
I'm guessing Colton will remain class of 2028.
