Duke has received a commitment from an edge rusher from Texas Obinna Umeh with a really nice list of offers. It came down to Duke and Stanford.

Great news! To state the obvious, kickers are incredibly valuable in college ball. One of the first things Cutcliffe said. Nothing like knowing you only have to reach say the 40 yard line to have a chance for a win.
In NFL all the kickers are pretty damn good (even if it doesn't feel that way for your team) so there are smaller differences across teams, but there is a big range in fg kicking ability across college kickers.
Being able to successfully recruit in North Carolina is nice. Coach Cutcliffe revived Duke’s in state efforts so it is rewarding to see the trend continue.
