2025 NBA Draft

Carlos Boozer is one of the best 2nd round examples from Duke. Drafted 35th and went on to become a 2 time All-Star, 1 time All-NBA Third Team, and a two time Olympian (1 gold, 1 bronze).

He genuinely doesn’t get enough love. One of my favorite players at Duke and went on to have a hell of a pro career.

yes, and he was cited in the comment referenced. You're absolutely right about 'Los, and it looks like Flip may be trying to one-up him in terms of NBA Career vs. 2nd Rd Draft Status.

If we look at players with three and four years at Duke the percentage for 2nd rounder success is very high. They might not all be stars but most have a decent NBA career.
There are some OAD guys who ended up being 2nd rounders who have had some decent success too...

Gary Trent Jr. was the 7th pick of the 2nd round in 2018. He has gone on to earn close to $60 mil in a NBA career that is still quite robust.

Frank Jackson was a 2nd rounder (first pick of the 2nd in 2017) who played 4+ years and made over $7 million. He is currently playing in China, I think.
