2025 Men's Basketball Recruiting

To be fair, he canceled his visit to Kansas State, which was his only remaining previously scheduled visit, according to the article. He has already taken other visits, however, including visiting Tennessee for their game with Kentucky.

However, I too am hopeful that the timing here means positive news for us!

Yeah, I was excited until I realized he had a final ELEVEN, which is now down to only ten. But like Jason, I'm very hopeful that the timing is significant.

Gosh, I wonder what could have happened over the weekend to make Nate Ament decide not to take other visits? Hmmmmm…
I could be misremembering but it feels like Duke quite often has recruits visiting (or hosting coaches) followed quickly by them canceling remaining visits and then picking Duke shortly thereafter...

Nate is an impressive shooter, would be an incredible addition. Damn but we're spoiled.

Also, the top 2027 SG, Jordan Page, was apparently at the game. I'd say we are the early leaders for that sophomore. Remember that name.
This prompted me to look at 247's 2027 rankings for maybe the first time (I don't think they've been available for long?). Page (#7, Raleigh) is one of three North Carolina high schoolers in their Top 30, along with CJ Rosser (#2, Rocky Mount) and LJ Smith (#29, Lincolnton, which was a new one for me but my NC small town game isn't as sharp as it once was). Not bad.

Poor NC State. Page is a sophomore at Broughton and I doubt he even considers the Pack. How things have changed.

Just wondering: what Broughton greats went on to star for State? Obviously Pistol Pete and Shav Randolph took their talents elsewhere. Who stuck around in Raleigh and starred for the Pack?

Phil Spence - it’s been awhile. I don’t consider Staats Battle and Kevin Keatts’ son as stars😀.

Interesting that Scott Wood is the Broughton coach, doubt that carries much weight.
