2025 Men's Basketball Recruiting

The Nike Hoop Summit in my opinion holds a bit more weight than most of the McDAA games when it comes to a serious setting.

But Naasir Little looked like the 2nd coming of LeBron in the mcdaag and even became a projected top 5 pick after that. I think he played well in the JBC game also.

Pretty good summary of potential upside plus issues with Ament, both his ability to stay on the court as well as opportunity cost of spending $3M+ to land him: https://www.bestofarkansassports.co...azile-return-nate-ament-duke-almost-blessing/

  • Nate Ament has been the best wing at Hoop Summit this week in my opinion. His blend of shooting, feel, and defensive versatility will make a fan base incredibly happy once he announces his commitment.
  • In a USA team recap on NBADraft.net by Aran Smith, his play was heavily critiqued: Played 11 minutes without taking a shot. Contributed 2 assists and 1 rebound. Struggled to create space or impact the flow of the game. Quiet outing despite strong practice showings. Got lost in the shuffle a bit but didn’t force anything. The tools are there — needs to be more aggressive in game settings."
  • However, an argument can be made that Ament, while extremely talented and capable of keeping the team in the headlines, would require too much money – at least $2.5-3 million by most reports. Based on how the Final Four transpired, he may also not be the best fit in terms of improving Arkansas’ rebounding or physicality it would need to win games in March.

Sounds to me like the folks there don't think he'll be coming to Arkansas...

A CB from Branham so it’s a good chance it happens.
Branham's track record is pretty good. His CB on Duke picks is 100%, for all picks it's over 90%.

Just looking at what he's done in April 2025, he's posted 20 CB picks (4 were that he was unsure); of the 16 he made an actual pick he was 15/16 (94%), missing on just Gwath (to Kentucky).
