Seeing Ray Farmer's name made me wince -- that guy deserved a long NFL career. But he's done pretty well for himself since then.

Honestly, NC hasn’t had that many star players for how big a state it is and how many really strong HS recruits come out. When Brad Johnson is your #8 (and don’t give me that SP nonsense, he’s the photo that shows up in Websters when you search “Game Manager”) that’s not a great sign

Sounds like Simmons has excellent athletic ability (assuming a good recovery from his ACL injury) and should be able to compete for time at QB at Duke.
If not, he may be used at WR, which has certainly worked out well with Jordan Moore. Duke doesn't have a ton of elite athletes, so it's very important to get the best athletes on the field.

I believe he was strictly recruited to play at WR, not QB.

This is performance in the NFL only, not high school or college. Thats why a guy like Chris Leak is so low
