US Open Week at Oakmont and time for another DBR Majors contest!
Reminder of the rules:
1. Select a team of as many golfers as the "salary cap" allows.
2. The salary cap is 30 points - use them wisely!
3. Each player's "cost" against the salary cap is their OWGR points total rounded down. So, Scottie Scheffler "costs" 18 Jon Rory 11, Xander 7, etc.
4. Anyone whose OWGR points is less than 2, costs 2. In other words, no player in the field costs less than 2.
5. You can pick any player in the field - it's not a draft, so in theory you could have the exact same team as someone else.
6. Your final score is based on the total money won by all the players on your team. If one of your players misses the cut, you get $0 for that player.
7. As a tiebreaker, you also pick the winning score relative to par (e.g., -12).
Scheffler is coming into the tournament as the overwhelming favorite, but the biggest story line this week will be about the course and how difficult it will play. In addition, 2 LIV golfers will be in the spotlight, with Bryson looking for back to back US Opens after falling just a bit short at the Masters and PGA this year, and Phil playing in potentially his final US Open, and with that likely his final chance for the career grand slam.
AGDukesky is our defending champ, looking to be our first back-to-back US Open winner. CDu is coming in like Scottie with a PGA win and T2 at the Masters, looking to pick up his second US Open after 6 seasons away from the winner's circle.
Post your picks in the thread and good luck!
