9/9 FB vs Illinois ESPN 2,007,000

This is estimated average viewers over the course of the game based on Nielsen's sample of the population. This year will have lots of numbers floating around that are in addition to that figure, but there are lots of question marks about the integrity of data collection methods used for those estimates.

It will be interesting to see ratings comparisons with CFF vs Ryder Cup matches. I hope awhom can help ! Thanks in advance

Nobody noticed that none of the dates that I posted were right?

This is for the portion of the game on ESPN2 and the estimate is based only on the standard Nielsen sample:
9/20 FB vs North Carolina State ESPN2 605,000

No one told me there'd be a pop quiz!

I just noted the games. I wasn't paying attention to the dates.

10/4 FB vs Cal ESPN 907,000
10/4 FB vs Cal ESPND 6,000

This estimate does not take into account @DU82 or I watching in the stadium. Did anyone watch any of the Spanish broadcast?

11/14 WBB vs West Virginia ESPNU 28,000
11/15 FB vs Virginia ESPN2 399,000

This number is not directly comparable, but we are unlikely to get any numbers using the same sample as usual. This adds numbers from an additional sample with measurement methodology that might not be statistically valid so it should be higher than the estimate provided by the regular sample.
11/8 MBB vs Western Carolina CW 255,000

The game with Arkansas tonight is on CBS. It has the Chiefs-Cowboys NFL game as its lead-in. The ratings may be quite high.

Interesting angle is how will Duke numbers compare with Bengal/Ravens game ? We've already seen Duke beats the crap out of fake golf !!!

I think we will do lousy and not totally sure why they are trying. Last night would have been much better. Football is king (not my opinion, but reality). Arkansas doesn't draw enough eyeballs to overcome that.

The two highest-rated regular season college basketball games since 2008, according to Sports Media Watch:

5.2 million for Michigan State-Arizona, Thanksgiving 2023 (4pm ET, FOX)
5.1 million for Illinois-Arkansas, Thanksgiving 2024 (4pm ET, CBS)

In 2023, MSU-Zona was on FOX after Packers-Lions, and aired opposite Commanders-Cowboys on CBS. In 2024, Illinois-Arkansas was on CBS after Bears-Lions, and aired opposite Giants-Cowboys on FOX.

The only difference this year is that Duke-Arkansas is on prime time, right after Chiefs-Cowboys on CBS. It's still hoops, so it won't beat Bengals-Ravens on NBC, but the ratings should hold up just fine.

This is a hanging curveball for any anti-Duke fan.

You are right, but, as a Bengals fan, it will be better than you think because the season ended 2 months ago. People aren't going to turn off the TV entirely.
