2025-26 DWBB

I can’t believe they moved to 7. I know it’s early, but they’re not a top 10 team.
So here's the logic...
#18 Baylor beats #6 Duke on a neutral court by six, so therefor they should leapfrog a whole bunch of teams to be only one spot less than the team they beat.
#6 Duke, however lost to the #18 team by six on a neutral court, so they should drop a decent amount to #15.

One of those statements makes good sense, and it ain't the first one.

Maybe not, but they played 9 deep in Paris, 3 of whom were hobbled, and Duke somehow made them look like a juggernaut.

Baylor's second game is interesting. They hosted and beat Lindenwood -- an Ohio Valley team, preseason T-Rank #128 -- by only 13 points, 76-63 (recap, box score). The Bears are 2-0, but their own T-Rank has moved by leaps and bounds from preseason #28 to... #27.

I know many people didn’t like the idea of the Brass Bar. But it’s actually sold out for every game except 3 of them.
It certainly didn't look sold out yesterday, but they said it was, so...maybe it's working. I don't see the appeal, personally, but OK. I do wish they'd make the seats a darker color. That empty row of white at the top looks lonely on TV.

Not unexpectedly, Addison Bjorn has dropped us from her list. I think there was 1 spot left in this class and Autumn Fleary grabbed it. Certainly point guard was the overwhelming need.

A few top players left out there, but I think in the end Kara will have put together a consensus top-3 class.

Looking at the highlights of the UCLA - UNC game, it occurred to me that while Duke won't face UCLA's Megan Grant on the court (unless we run into them in the NCAAs), she will still be playing against us in the spring. While she's a deep bench player for the bball squad, she's a two time All American on their softball team. Hopefully against us on the diamond she scores less the two points she scored tonight against the Banging Bangharts.

UVA was picked to finish in the top half of the ACC before the season started.
Tonight they lost at home to UMBC. Last week UMBC got beaten up by over 30 points in a loss to Exdukie Okananwa and her Twerps.

We could potentially play UCLA the week of Thanksgiving.
