2024 NBA Draft

Looks like Flip has gone down on draft boards since the season ended, right? I thought he was around 12-18 earlier but the above shows he's projected more in the 20-29 range. Did something happen after the season (e.g. combine measurements) or it's just all the moving pieces and things finally settling? I guess we'll see soon.
The feedback I've seen has been around his athleticism and measurements (very short arms relative to height).

Today is Day 1 of the NBA Draft. Felt that was worth bumping this thread to the top.

The mock drafters in the media have prepared their final words, and here's where they see Jared McCain and Kyle Filipowski going. (For the record, the DBR Mock Draft had the Philadelphia 76ers select McCain at #16 and the Cleveland Cavaliers take Filipowski at #20.)

brevity, thanks for pulling all this together. Wow. That's a labor of love. The Flip and McCain families would probably enjoy seeing this!

I'm hoping for McCain to the Lakers. First piece in JJ's rebuild. 😁

I don’t really see the fit for McCain in Portland or Miami but the 76ers and Magic would both be good fits. Maybe the Lakers too although I think they need more creators and I’m sure he’ll provide that (right away).

I have a feeling Flip will be a Knick but I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Bucks grab him at # 23.

Pardon the pun, but there's also some buzz about the Charlotte Hornets, put forth by Kelly Iko of The Athletic:

Rockets are a promising young team that wants to win now, but I don't love that situation for Mark. Sengun and Jabari Smith are well ensconced as the starting frontcourt there. When Sengun was hurt towards the end of the year they experimented having Amen Thompson play the 5, with pretty good results. I'm not sure what Mark's role would be in Houston, but I don't see him starting.

Maybe it's not optimal, but any situation that takes Mark Williams out of Charlotte seems like a good situation.

Speaking of Duke guys, Jared McCain is all smiles, but shows Richard Jefferson no mercy:

Here's the whole interview.

The Hornets won’t do it but I’d trade the # 6 pick to someone that is a better fit for Clingan. Would the Knicks swap # 24 and # 25 for #6?

Welp I only truly liked 4 guys and all 4 are gone for my Hornets. As long as we don’t draft a big man I’m okay with it (I think)

Very minor nit to pick, but if you know Portland is drafting for Washington, why are you making the young man wear a Trailblazers hat?
