I really hope Manny doesn't look outside. Reward them for their loyalty. They both looked good last year. Save the NIL money to put talent around them.Unless we bring in another vagabond from somewhere else

Well one or both will certainly get an audition in a few weeksI really hope Manny doesn't look outside. Reward them for their loyalty. They both looked good last year. Save the NIL money to put talent around them.
I’d bet good money he goes somewhere and starts or ends the year on the bench.Well one or both will certainly get an audition in a few weeks
Puzzling decision by Murphy IMHO. I’m sure NIL was a factor but it’s hard to imagine another decent program giving him as much rope as he had this year at Duke. Moore and Pancol did a lot to make Maalik look good - maybe he was uneasy at the prospect of no longer having them around.
It's not like he'd risk injury. He's literally got one of the safest jobs in all of football. Even a kicker gets touched more than Murphy at Duke. This is disappointing news...but not completely surprising. I imagine we're down the list a fair bit in regard to NIL payouts. I sure wish he could play one more game though...sigh.
SMU has zero need for this individual. Jennings is going nowhere. Relatedly, I wouldn’t mind seeing Preston Stone come to Duke and compete for the starting job, though. If you look at his list of offers out of HS, there are a number of schools with bigger NIL purses and need for a QB next year. Miami, FSU, Indiana, maybe PSU, among others. Lashlee was his recruiter at Miami, and SMU’s got money.
Not saying those are the only schools that might be interested, but they make sense, in a lot of ways.
I'm surprised that so many here are surprised. This news does not surprise me.
