Good call making this thread, was thinking we were going to need one.

Manny has built the foundation of a great team moving forward... but in the modern age the next step is keeping that foundation intact. Fingers crossed.
 
For comparison, Ole Miss has 5 that have entered the portal since Dec 1st. Interesting that 3 of them are offensive linemen.
 
What was he looking for this year at Duke that he didn’t get? That’s probably the wrong question. I suppose the question is “based on his performance this year does he think he can get either more money elsewhere or better visibility to put himself on NFL radars elsewhere, or both?”

this surprises me, though when someone behaves badly and lets down people who had his back and provided an opportunity—I’m reminded of the phrase, “if you’re disillusioned, that meant you were illusioned in the first place.”

He did okay as a Duke starter, and I had hopes for him for next year, but we won 9 games almost entirely because of the defense. Does Maalik really think he’s a clear-cut starter for a bigger name school?
 
Disappointing news. He had two great receivers this year, two that might get a chance to play on Sundays going forward. The portal door swings both ways…
