The defense is smothering. Again.

Toby steals one off the baseline, scores, and immediately causes another TO. Duke's up 17-4 with 5 left.

Steenbergen is a reserve, but also their leading scorer. She and fellow bench player Mills have each hit a three (Flames are 2-7).
 
Reporter asks Kara about improving the offense, and her reply is that she's more concerned about the defense. She's not wrong, as she pointed out we let Liberty score 23.
 
Two point game at the half. We allowed 23 points, and only scored 10. Thank goodness for that first quarter, but we are going to have to play much better to win this game. We are playing a well-coached, deep, skilled opponent.

64-50 after three. We got shaky after going back out to a 17- point lead. I’ll take the current lead of 14, but we really have to stay focused.
